About the speaker:
Rohan M Ganapathy, is a young engineer and entrepreneur who has worked extensively on electric propulsion systems for deep space propulsion. He has cofounded and is the CEO of Bellatrix Aerospace Private, a Research and Development company developing propulsion systems for satellites. This company is a recipient of TDB National Award 2017 from the Hon'ble President of India for development of technology with potential for commercialisation. Rohan's passion towards science and technology led him to work on projects from a young age as a student that attracted several awards, including 'Young Scientist Award'. He has attended several conferences in various countries and presented papers on deep space exploration. Rohan is also part of Champions of Change, a think tank set up by NITI Ayog to frame policies for a transformed India by 2022. This first event of Champions of Change was held in August 2017, presided by the Hon'ble Prime Minister, Sri. Narendra Modi ji and saw participation of CEOs from emerging companies across the country.
