Prof. Manoj Varma and Team Secure Breakthrough Patent Powering the Future of Diagnostics
CeNSE is pleased to announce the grant of a new patent titled “A HCR Kit and Method for Multiplexed Detection of Analytes” to Prof. Manoj Varma and Mayank Mitram.
This patented innovation introduces a cutting-edge diagnostic platform that integrates Hybridization Chain Reaction (HCR) with long-read nanopore sequencing, enabling highly sensitive and multiplexed detection of a wide range of biomolecules, including microRNAs, proteins, and small molecules.
The technology leverages amplified DNA barcode signals for each analyte, significantly improving detection sensitivity and allowing accurate identification even at extremely low concentrations. This advancement addresses a critical need in modern diagnostics for precise, high-throughput, and scalable detection methods.
With its cost-effective and adaptable design, the platform holds strong potential for transformative applications in liquid biopsy, disease profiling, and precision healthcare, paving the way for next-generation molecular diagnostics.
This achievement highlights the team’s continued commitment to innovation at the intersection of nanotechnology and biomedical science.
Congratulations to Prof. Manoj Varma and Mayank Mitram on this impactful milestone.
