Swapnil More

Swapnil is a Mechanical Engineer (B.E. 2012, University of Pune). After working as graduate engineer at Mahindra Navistar Automotives and as project assistant at IIT Bombay he joined Centre for Nano Science and Engineering as a MTech student in 2014. Later in 2016 he decided to convernt in to a PhD student in order to continue his work on Strain Engineering of NEMS. He looked at  nonlinear effects using 2D NEMS and the effect of strain on dynamic behaviour of NEMS. He completed his PhD in 2023 and is currently a postdoc at IMEC.

Radha Kumari

Radha completed her BSc in 2018 and MSc(Physics) in 2020 from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra Haryana. She joined Centre of Nano Science and Engineering as PhD student in Aug 2021. She decided pursue a career in teaching and currently a lecturer in Haryana.

 

 

Dr. Nishta Arora

Nishta Arora completed her graduation in Physics from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi in 2013 and post-graduation in Physics from Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi in 2015. She has worked as a summer intern at Inter University Accelerator Center, New Delhi. In 2015, she joined the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering as a Ph.D student. She has done some great work in the area of nonlinear dynamics in 2D nanoresoantors. She is now a postdoctoral fellow at University of Queensland.

Trishala Mitra

Trishala has completed her B.Sc in Physics (Hons) from Bhawanipur Education Society College under the University of Calcutta and then carried on to complete her M.Sc in Nano Science and Technology from Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru. She joined the Centre of Nano Science and Engineering as a Project Associate in August 2021 and developed fabrication process flow for optical and optomechanical systems. She is currently pursuing PhD in Europe.

Darkasha Khan

Darkasha completed her BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2020 from Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bengaluru.  She has previously worked as an intern at the Centre for Nano-materials and MEMS, NMIT, Bengaluru.  As part of our group, she worked on NEMS based gas sensing. She is currently pursuing master degree in Europe.

Nimarpreet Kaur

Nimar completed her graduation in 2018 and post-graduation in physics in 2020, from Guru Nanak College, Sri Muktsar Sahib (affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh). She did a summer internship in 2018 at Dept. of Physics, IIT Ropar and worked as project trainee in 2020 at LaNOM Lab, IIT Ropar, Punjab. During her tenure in the group, she worked on Opto-mechanical systems for sensing applications. She is currently pursing PhD in Arizona State University

 

Dr. Aneesh Dash

Aneesh completed his PhD from the group in 2019 and then continued as a post doctoral fellow till 2022. He was the first one in the group to explore research  on-chip optics and optomechanical systems. He is currently working at Global Foundries in Bangalore

Deepak Sharma

Deepak  completed his B.Sc. in Physics from Deen Dayal Upadhyay College, University of Delhi in 2015 and M.Sc. in Physics from Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi in 2017. He is now a staff engineer at Global foundries.

Faizan Beigh

Faizan Beigh completed his BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Islamic University of Science and Technology, Jammu & Kashmir in 2018 and MTech in Embedded System from University of Kashmir, Jammu & Kashmir in 2021.He joined the Centre of Nano Science and Engineering as a Project Associate in Aug 2021. He is currently pursuing PhD at IIT Delhi.

Sohini Pal

Sohini was a joint student with Prof. Manoj Varma  and did some nice work on sensing nanopores. She is right now a postdoc at UC San Diego.

 

 

Pranav Deshpande

Pranav completed his Diploma in mechanical engineering from Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE),Mumbai in 2016 and B.E. in Mechanical engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune in (2019). During his time in our groups, he predominantly worked on the fabrication and characterization of opto-NEMS. He is now pursing his masters at IIT Madras

 

Femy Francis

Femy completed her B.Sc in Physics from Christ College Irinjalakuda, University of Calicut in 2017 and her M.Sc in Physics from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli (NITT) in 2019. During her post-graduation she worked as a summer student at Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) – Gujarat. She joined our group as a project assistant and worked on the fabrication and  characterization of optoNEMS devices. She is moving to University of St. Andrews in UK to pursue her PhD.

 

Jyoti Yadav

Jyoti Yadav completed her B.Tech in Electronics and Communication from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana in 2012. She has also completed M.Tech in Nanoscience and Technology from Kurukshetra University, Haryana in 2014. After M.Tech, she   worked on MEMS based sensor at CSIR-CEERI Pilani as Senior Project Fellow. In 2019, she joined Centre for Nano Science and Engineering as Project Assistant and worked on 2D material based NEMS devices. She is now pursuing PhD in Canada

 

Cheeru Thrideep

Cheeru completed her graduation in Physics from ST. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam in 2017 and her post-graduation in Physics from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal (NITK) in 2019. She worked on 2D material-based devices. She is now pursuing PhD in Canada.

 

Deepanjan Das

Deepanjancompleted his B.Sc in Physics from Visva-Bharati University in 2017. He  received Masters Degree in Physics in 2019 from Visva-Bharati University. He worked on NEMS based Gas Sensors and is now pursuing PhD in France.

 

Anagha Paul

Anagha Paul completed her BTech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from NIT Calicut in 2016. She worked at Mahindra Electric Mobility Ltd as Graduated Engineering Trainee from 2016 to 2017 then as Assistant manager from 2017 to 2018 in Advanced Technology Dept. In 2019 she joined the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering as Project Assistant and worked on suspended 2D materials on flexible substrate.

 

Dr. Parameshwar Prasad

After completing his PhD, Parmeshwar is now at ICFO as a postdoctoral fellow. He has done some great work on mode coupling and nonlinear effects. Here is one of his papers in Nanoletters.

 

Sayan Ghosh

Sayan completed my graduation  in 2017  and M.Sc. in Physics in 2019 from Visvabharati University, West Bengal. After M.Sc, he joined Center for Nanoscience and Engineering as a project assistant. He is now pursuing his PhD at IIT Madras.

 

Ramprakash

Ramprakash completed his BTech and MS in Electrical Engineering from Anna University and University of Central Florida respectively. He  worked as research consultant at Helicon Chemical Company ,Orlando in 2017 and then as Project Engineer at National Centre for Flexible electronics NCFlexE at IIT Kanpur in 2018. He joined Centre for nanoscience Engineering  in 2019 as a project assistant. He is currently pursuing his PhD in US.

 

Damini V

Damini completed BE in  Electronics and Communication from Maharaja Institute of technology (MIT) mysuru in the year 2016, M.Tech in Nanotechnology from National institute of Engineering (NIE) mysuru in 2018. She joined the group as a project assistant at Centre for Nanoscience and Engineering and currently working on 2D material based devices. She is now pursuing her PhD in Canada.

 

Anjanashree M

Anjana graduated from Vellore Institute of Technology with BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2016. She joined the group as project assistant and worked on many things including  CNTFETs for logic circuit applications, 2D materials. She is now at IMEC Belgium for her masters.

 

Anuj Aggarwal

Anuj worked as a project assistant in the group from Feb 2018 to July 2019. He is now pursuing  Erasmus Mundus masters in Nanoscience program at KU Leuven University

 

Nikita Sharma

Nikita Sharma worked as a project assistant in the group from Feb 2019 to July 2019. She is moved on to pursue PhD at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

 

Upanya Khandelwal

Upanya worked as a project assistant in the group in 2018. She is currently pursuing her PhD at Centre for Nano Science and Engineering, IISc Bangalore.

 

Sandeep Reddy

Dr. Sandeep Reddy worked as a postdoctoral associate in the group from August 2016 to September 2017. He worked on various aspect of nonlinear dynamics in 2D NEMS. He is currently faculty at IIITDM Kurnool.

 

Chandan Samanta

Dr. Samanta finished his PhD in 2018. His thesis work involved looking at nonlinear dynamics in 2D material based NEMS. Among other things he was able to demonstrate exchange of energy between different vibrational modes via internal resonances.

He is now a postdoc at ICFO – The Institute of Photonic Sciences.

 

Yasasvi G. P. R

Dr. Yasasvi completed his PhD in 2018.  He did some very interesting research with solution processed carbon nanotube based field effect transistors including how to reduce the Schottky barrier at CNT-electrode barriers and fabricating both n and p-type CNTFETS

He is now working as a Staff engineer, R&D Engineering at Sandisk.

 

Tilakraj

Tilakraj worked as a project assistant in 2017-2018. He is currently pursuing PhD in Karnataka University, Dharwad.

 

Marsha Parmar

Dr. Marsha Parmar completed her Ph.D. in 2017. Her PhD research looked at manipulating nonlinearities in the ultrathin resonators and how they can be manipulated to increase the dynamic range of the NEMS resonators.

After completing her postdoc at EPFL, Lausanne, she is now a research scientist at IIT Delhi.

 

Akshdeep Sharma

Akshdeep Sharma was Analog Devices Postdoctoral Fellow at CeNSE from May 2014 to April 2017. Before that he was a senior research fellow at Sensors and Nanotechnology Group CSIR-CEERI Pilani, India.

During his stay at CeNSE, he did some intricate fabrication using FIB. He was able to fabricate piezoresistors by doping Gallium in Silicon membranes using FIB. He was able to demonstrate pressure sensors using these piezoresistor. The work was published in IEEE JMEMS

He is currently Scientist at C-MET Hyderabad.

 

Prateek Singh

Prateek Singh completed his M.Tech. from CeNSE, IISc in 2017. His project work involved fabricating ultrathin silicon nitride membranes with nanopores for DNA translocation.

He is currently working in LAM Research.

 

Sumit Kumar

Sumit completed his M.Tech. from CeNSE, IISc in 2017. His project work involved fabricating ultrathin silicon nitride membranes with nanopores for DNA translocation.

He is currently pursuing PhD in Europe.

 

Punith C. L.

Punith worked as a project assistant in our group from 2015 to 2016. He is currently pursuing masters in Europe
