Abstract:
Publishing research is crucial in academia as it facilitates knowledge sharing and progress in various fields. However, the intricacies of the publishing process often pose challenges for researchers. This talk aims to provide valuable insights from an experienced editor to enhance the effectiveness of research publications.
The session will begin with an overview of Wiley’s journals, offering the attendees an idea of the range of potential venues for their research submissions. It will then delve into the detailed editorial review process, covering initial assessments and peer review, and clarifying reasons for desk rejections. By gaining a clearer understanding of these processes, attendees will be better equipped to avoid common pitfalls, thereby increasing the likelihood of their submissions being successful. Drawing on practical tips from editors, this talk aims to empower budding researchers to improve their publication outcomes and maximize the impact of their work.
