February 6 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Talk Title: “Efficient and Responsible Use of CeNSE Central Facilities” Speaker : Ms. Sabiha Sultana, Chief Technologist - Head of Projects Office, CeNSE Date: 6th February 2026, Time : 4 PM Venue: CeNSE Seminar Hall Abstract: CeNSE’s central facilities are among the most advanced shared nanofabrication, characterization, and packaging infrastructures in the country. However, extracting their full value requires more than technical access; it demands planning, discipline, and a clear understanding of process ownership, timelines, and shared resource responsibility. Drawing on several years of experience leading the external projects of our centre and successfully executing a large number of academic, strategic, and industry-driven projects, this talk will outline practical strategies for using CeNSE facilities efficiently. The discussion will cover common pitfalls, best practices in process planning and booking, documentation and data discipline, coordination with technologists, and the mindset required to transition from exploratory experiments to reproducible outcomes. The goal is to appraise students and researchers with learned best practices and institutional knowledge to help accelerate their research while strengthening CeNSE’s culture of reliability, accountability, and excellence in shared infrastructure usage.
