We are involved in the modelling of signal transduction and noise generation processes in molecular sensing, particularly focusing on optical sensing techniques. The aspects we model range from transport of molecules in micro- and nano-scale sensors to errors in molecular binding. This activity will complement our efforts in the construction of next-generation biosensors with superior sensitivity and specificity.
